Terms and Conditions

Band Buster – AI UK IO Limited
Terms of Service

Last updated: 5th December 2025

1. About the Service

Band Buster is an online tool designed to help users prepare evidence for a Council Tax band review.

The Service:

  • organises user-provided information,
  • retrieves publicly available property and related data,
  • generates a structured evidence pack, and
  • provides guidance for submitting a band review request to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).

Band Buster is not affiliated with the VOA, local councils, HMRC, or any government department.

2. No Legal, Financial or Professional Advice

The Service provides general information and administrative support only.

It does not provide:

  • legal advice,
  • financial advice,
  • property valuation, or
  • professional representation.

All banding decisions are made solely by the VOA. You are responsible for verifying all information before submitting a request for review.

3. Eligibility

To use Band Buster you must:

  • be at least 18 years old,
  • use the Service for your own property or with permission of the property owner,
  • provide accurate and lawful information.

We may suspend or terminate access where these requirements are not met.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree that you will:

  • provide true, accurate and complete information,
  • ensure that any evidence or files uploaded are lawful and that you have the right to use them,
  • not misuse the Service, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with website operations,
  • not upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content.

Users remain fully responsible for the accuracy and legality of the material they submit.

5. Document Uploads and Storage

Band Buster allows you to upload evidence (e.g., EPC certificates, photographs, planning records).

By uploading content, you confirm that:

  • you hold the necessary rights and permissions,
  • the content does not infringe any third-party rights,
  • the content does not contain viruses or malicious code,
  • the content complies with applicable law.

We may remove or reject uploaded materials that are harmful, unlawful, or inappropriate.

We reserve the right to impose limits on file size, format, and number of uploads.

6. Third-Party Data Sources

The Service may display information retrieved from external sources, including:

  • EPC Register,
  • Council Tax band listings,
  • publicly accessible planning databases,
  • Google Maps or Street View.

We cannot guarantee the accuracy, availability, or completeness of third-party data and accept no liability for errors or omissions in external sources.

7. No Guarantee of Outcome

Using Band Buster does not guarantee:

  • that the VOA will accept your review,
  • that your Council Tax band will change,
  • that the evidence pack will be sufficient for your case.

The VOA alone determines the outcome of any band review.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, tools, software code, templates, graphics, designs and generated evidence packs are the intellectual property of Band Buster unless otherwise stated.

You may download and use generated evidence solely for your personal use in a Council Tax band review.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute Service materials without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Band Buster is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind;
  • we are not liable for loss of data, inaccurate information, or errors in third-party content;
  • we are not liable for decisions made by the VOA or any public authority;
  • we are not liable for financial loss, including overpayment or missed refunds;
  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Your use of the Service is entirely at your own discretion and risk.
